Omega Shenron, SS4 Gogeta Join Dragon Ball Xenoverse Game

Screenshots, Western DLC content unveiled

Bandai Namco Games announced on Wednesday that Omega Shenron and Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta will join its upcoming game Dragon Ball Xenoverse. The company also unveiled screenshots.

In addition to the newly announced characters, the screenshots preview several characters' Villainous forms. The game's antagonist Towa will be able to turn characters evil with the aid of a "mysterious man," whose features resemble the newly-unveiled character below. Towa and Mira's tampering with Dragon Ball's history will also include making Vegeta join the Ginyu Force and letting Nappa transform into a Giant Ape.


Lastly, Bandai Namco Games detailed its downloadable content packs for the game. Each pack will run US$9.99 and season pass for US$24.99 will give players access to three packs, The first of which will be available in March and will include:

  • Goku, Pan, and Trunks as they appear in Dragon Ball GT
  • 4 Time Patrol quests
  • 12 quests
  • 15 special moves for the players' avatars
  • 5 costumes

The second DLC pack will also include exclusive playable characters, quests, special moves, and costumes. The third DLC pack will include the Master Roshi set for character customization and Akira Toriyama's manga hero Jaco the Galactic Patrolman as a playable character, both of which will be first-copy bonuses in Japan.

The game will ship for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 consoles in Japan on February 5, 2015, and then in the United States on February 24 and in Europe on February 27. It will also debut on PC via Steam on February 27.

The exclusive day one edition in the United States will include exclusive Frieza Soldier battle suits and Super Saiyan IV Vegeta as an exclusive playable character. Early Japanese bonuses include a Trunks:Xeno battle card for the Dragon Ball Heroes game, and a serial code to use Trunks:Xeno in the Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle smartphone game.

In Japan, the game will feature an original video anime (OVA) relating to the events in the game.
