Prince of Stride Franchise Gets 4-Part Stage Play Series

Cast members of the Prince of Stride: Alternative television anime announced at the Dengeki Bunko Haru no Saiten 2016 event on Sunday that the series will receive a stage play adaptation.
The play titled Prince of Stride THE LIVE STAGE Episode 1 will run from December 9-14 at Tokyo's Theatre1010, and it will then run at Osaka's Theater Drama City in the second half of December. The play will be the first in a four part series. The second, third, and fourth stage plays are expected to premiere in Tokyo and Osaka in April 2017 (May 2017 in Osaka), June 2017, and August 2017, respectively.
All four plays will feature Hônan High School and Saisei High School. The first and third plays will also feature Mihashi High School, the second and third plays will feature Ichijōkan High School, the second play will feature Ichiba High School, and the third and fourth plays will feature Kakyôin High School.
The plays will feature actors trained in parkour, and they will run on stage and throughout the seating area while a wind effect blows through the audience.

Fumiya Matsuzaki (Danganronpa 2 stage play) will direct the play, and Akira Kuzuki will write the script. HAYATE is serving as the parkour coach.
An anime adaptation of Prince of Stride titled Prince of Stride: Alternative premiered on January 5. FUNimation Entertainment is streaming the series with subtitles as it airs in Japan. Funimation began streaming English-dubbed episodes of the series in February.
The original otome game revolves around "Stride," an extreme sport that involves six people on one team who run relay races through towns. Hōnan Academy and other schools compete to win eastern Japan's top Stride competition, "End of Summer."
The series revolves around a closed-down "Stride" club at Hōnan Academy. First-year high school students Takeru Fujiwara and Nana Sakurai attempt to restart the club, but they must recruit six members for the team. They ask Riku Yagami to join, but he turns them down by saying that Stride is the one thing he doesn't want to do. However, Takeru and Nana drag Riku into the clubroom to try to convince him.
Kadokawa Games released the game for the PlayStation Vita on July 30. Teruko Arai launched the Prince of Stride: Galaxy Rush manga side story in Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine on November 27.
