Screenings will include "Pikachu's Vacation" short again

The official Pokémon U.S. website announced on Monday that over 200 Cinemark theaters will screen the Pokémon: The First Movie anime on October 29 and November 1. The screenings will include the "Pikachu's Vacation" short, just as the film's original run did 17 years ago. Pre-sale tickets are already available.

Warner Bros. first released the film in North American theaters in 1999, and released it on DVD and VHS in 2000. Viz Media re-released the film on DVD on February 9, as well as on Blu-ray Disc in a bundle with the Pokémon 2000 - The Movie and Pokémon 3 - The Movie films on the same day.

The latest film in the Pokémon franchise is Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel, which opened in Japan on July 16.
