Zeta Gundam Gets New Mace of Judgement Manga Side Story

This year's December issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine announced on Thursday that the magazine's next issue will launch a new manga sidestory for Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam titled Mace of Judgement (Shinpan no Mace). The current issue debuted a prologue chapter, while the manga's serialization will start in the magazine's next issue in November. ROHGUN will draw the manga
The story is set on U.C. 0089 after the First Neo Zeon War, and will center on Jorn, an A.E.U.G. pilot who fought the Titans during the Gryps Conflict. The story will feature the appearance of such mobile suits as the AMX-003 Gaza, MS-14J ReGelgu, RMS-106 Hizack, and RMS-108 Marasai.
The manga is based on Junichi Kamino's Advance of Zeta: Toki ni Aragaishi Mono novel series that Kadokawa began publishing in its Dengeki Hobby Magazine in 2010, specifically the 2011 Mace of Judgement light novel. The novel series mostly takes place in U.C. 0085 and later. Yū Akiba launched a manga adaptation of the novels in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh in 2012, but the magazine later canceled the series in 2014 due to the author's health.
