The May issue of Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine revealed on Tuesday that Shinjirō's Fate/Zero manga will end in the next issue on May 2.
The manga previously revealed that its 14th compiled book volume would be the last.
Shinjirō launched the manga in Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine in 2011. Kadokawa published the manga's 13th compiled book volume (seen right) on December 31. The Fate/Zero television anime also debuted in 2011, and its second season premiered in 2012.
The anime and manga adapt the prequel Fate/Zero light novel series by Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Phantom - The Animation, Blassreiter) of Type-Moon's Fate/stay night visual novel software. The story is set a decade before Fate/stay night and reveals the 4th Holy Grail War that sets the stage for the war in the original visual novel.
Dark Horse Comics licensed the manga in 2014 and released the fourth compiled volume on February 28.
Aniplex of America released the Fate/Zero anime in North America in two Blu-ray Disc box sets in 2012 that were imports of the Japanese release with English subtitles and a translation booklet. The company then followed up the release with a new Blu-ray Disc box set with an English dub that shipped in 2013. Fate/Zero streamed on Neon Alley with an English dub, and the series streamed on Crunchyroll as it aired.
