The Silver Case Game's PS4 Launch Trailer Streamed

posted on by Rai Kelly
Game shipped Tuesday in N. America, ships Friday in Europe

NIS America began streaming a launch trailer on Tuesday to correspond with its release of The Silver Case for the PS4 in North America. The trailer showcases footage from the game.

The game shipped on PlayStation 4 on Tuesday in North America, and it will ship on April 21 in Europe. The game has digital, standard physical, and limited edition physical versions.

The limited edition of the HD remaster includes the game, a collector's box, a 40-page hardcover art book, a 34-track soundtrack, an 18" x 24" poster, and a 20-page manga.

NIS America's release is the HD remaster of the original The Silver Case visual novel, which shipped for PlayStation in 1999 as Grasshopper Manufacture's first game. Grasshopper Manufacture released the HD remaster on Steam, Playism, GOG, and Humble Store platforms for PC in October 2016. The company then released the game for Mac in November 2016. The HD remaster marked the first time the game had an English release.

NIS America describes the story:

1999 - the "24 Wards." A string of mysterious serial killings plagues the city.

The detectives of the 24 Wards Heinous Crimes Unit have their eyes on one man: Kamui Uehara, legendary serial killer and assassin of a number of government officials 20 years prior in the now-famous "Silver Case." However, nobody knows who— or what—Kamui really is.

Has he really returned? Who is this infamous serial killer?

Gōichi Suda (Let It Die, Lollipop Chainsaw, Killer is Dead), also known as Suda51, directed and wrote the game. The original game featured elements of an adventure game, a puzzle game, and a visual novel.
