posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
11th volume slated for June 30

This year's 25th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine revealed on Monday that Masami Yuuki's (Birdy the Mighty, Mobile Police Patlabor) Hakubo no Chronicle manga series will end on May 29. The magazine's 11th and final compiled book volume is slated for June 30.

The manga's 10th volume previously noted in February that the manga will will end on the 11th volume.

Yuuki launched the manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine in August 2013 as his first weekly series in ten years. The story of the series follows a newly hired female public official named Akari Fushiki who, along with a boy obsessed with crime, solves mysterious deaths.

Yuuki launched his ongoing Disu x Komi manga in Shogakukan's Monthly Spirits magazine in April 2013 as his first new series in a decade. The series runs irregularly, and Shogakukan shipped the manga's second compiled book volume on Monday.

Yuuki's Tetsuwan Birdy Evolution (Birdy the Mighty Evolution) series ran from 2008 to 2012 in Weekly Big Comic Spirits. The series is a sequel to his Tetsuwan Birdy (Birdy the Mighty) manga remake that ran in Shogakukan's Weekly Young Sunday and Big Comic Spirits magazines. The manga versions of Birdy the Mighty have not been released in North America, but the various anime adaptations, as well as Yuuki's Mobile Police Patlabor manga, have been.

Yuuki is also the concept creator for Tetsuro Kasahara's Atom The Beginning manga.
