posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Anime premieres on January 11

The official website for the B-PROJECT anime began streaming the second promotional video for the series' second season, B-PROJECT: Zecchō Emotion (Summit Emotion), on Monday. The video previews the anime's opening theme song "Zecchō Emotion" by the in-story idol unit B-PROJECT, played by the anime's cast. (Note: The video on the website is region-locked to Japan. A region-free version is provided below.)

The anime's voice cast is returning from the first season. However, Asami Seto is replacing Hisako Kanemoto as Tsubasa Sumisora due to the latter's hiatus from her voice acting activities so she can study abroad.

Returning staff members include MAGES head Chiyomaru Shikura (Steins;Gate, Occultic;Nine), credited with planning and original work. The original illustrations are credited to Utako Yukihiro, and Takanori Nishikawa (T.M. Revolution) is the overall producer. Makoto Moriwaki (Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, PriPara) is replacing Eiji Suganuma as director. New staff members are also replacing the previous season's staff for the rest of the main roles.

The anime's cast is also performing the the ending theme song "Hikari to Kage no Toki Musubu" (Linking the Time of Light and Shadow).

The B-PROJECT: Zecchō Emotion anime will premiere on Tokyo MX, BS11, ABC TV, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV on January 11. An advance screening for the series' first episode will be held at Shinjuku Wald 9 theater in Tokyo on December 23.

B-PROJECT is MAGES' fictional male idol project featuring character designs by Devils and Realist creator Utako Yukihiro. The anime's first season premiered in July 2016, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.

The anime's story follows Tsubasa, a new hire in the A&R department of the major recording company Gandala Music. Tsubasa is immediately assigned to oversee the idol unit "B-PROJECT," which is made up of three idol groups: Kitakore, THRIVE, and MooNs. This is Tsubasa's first job, and she gets involved in various incidents and accidents as she deals with this group of young men who each have their own differing personalities.

The B-PROJECT Muteki Dangerous smartphone game debuted for iOS and Android devices in June 2017. The management of the game moved from S&P to MAGES in March.

The franchise also includes a stage play that ran from July-August 2017, a live concert that ran in August 2017, and an album that launched in July 2017.
