Kenji Saito's Goodbye! Isekai Tensei Manga Changes Magazines

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Manga transfers from Shōnen Magazine R to Monthly Shonen Magazine on February 6

This year's January issue of Kodansha's Shōnen Magazine R announced on December 20 that Kenji Saitō and Porabora's Goodbye! Isekai Tensei manga will transfer to Monthly Shonen Magazine beginning with the March issue on February 6. Prior to this, the February issue will have an introduction feature and a special short manga on Friday.

The manga's story centers on Yūya Kamigasaki, a 17-year-old high school student who leads a normal life. A bright magical circle suddenly appears in Yūya's room, and from it appears a princess who calls herself Angelia Eight Gransia, and tells him to reincarnate in another world to become that world's strongest hero.

Writer Saito (Trinity Seven) and artist Porabora launched the manga in December 2017. The manga's first compiled book volume shipped last June, and the second volume will ship on February 8.

Saito and Akinari Nao launched the Trinity Seven manga in Monthly Dragon Age magazine in 2011. Kadokawa published the manga's 19th compiled book volume on July 9. The manga has more than 3 million copies in print. The series inspired a 12-episode television anime that premiered in October 2014, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks released the series with an English dub on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in August 2016. Crunchyroll also began streaming the Trinity Seven: Eternal Library & Alchemic Girl film in March 2017. The film opened in Japan in February 2017. The manga is inspiring a second anime film.

Most recently, Saito and Ichitaka will launch a new manga titled Gishin Eiyuu no Amadeus (Amadeus, Hero of the False God) in Shōnen Magazine R on February 20.
