The Irregular at Magic High School: Double Seven Manga Ends on July 18

Series adapting novels' 12th volume launched in Octover 2016

The July issue of Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine revealed on Tuesday that Tsuna Kitaumi's Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Double Seven-hen (The Irregular at Magic High School: Double Seven) manga will end in the next issue on July 18. Majiko!'s Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Raihōsha-hen (The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc) manga also ended in the same issue.

The second compiled book volume of Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Double Seven-hen revealed last July that the series will end in its third volume, which was previously slated to ship this spring.

In manga's story, Tatsuya and Miyuki desire a quiet school life. However, when new "numbers" appear at First High School, their lives will once again be full of trouble.

The manga adapts the 12th volume of Tsutomu Satou's original The Irregular at Magic High School light novel series, known as the "Double Seven" arc. Kitaumi launched the manga in Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine in October 2016.

Kitaumi previously drew the art for the four-volume Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Nyūgaku-hen manga and the five-volume Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Kyūkōsen-hen manga, which adapted the first two arcs (four volumes) of the novel series.

Yen Press licensed the original The Irregular at Magic High School light novel series and Yu Mori's spinoff manga The Honor Student at Magic High School.

The novel series inspired a 26-episode television anime adaptation that debuted in April 2014, directed by Manabu Ono at Madhouse. Aniplex of America licensed the anime and released it on home video in 2015. The novels have also inspired the The irregular at magic high school The Movie: The Girl Who Summons the Stars anime film, which opened in Japan last June. Aniplex of America screened the film in theaters in the United States.
