Kadokawa, Marvelous, Egg Firm Announce Kandagawa Jet Girls Project

Kadokawa, Marvelous, and EGG FIRM announced on Friday that they are developing a new project titled Kandagawa Jet Girls.
Senran Kagura producer Kenichirō Takaki will appear with two voice actors on the project for a livestream presentation on YouTube, Niconico, and Periscope on August 1 at 8:00 p.m. JST (7:00 a.m. EDT).
Takaki revealed in an interview with the Weekly Famitsu magazine in March that he is working on a new multimedia project that has a planned game and anime. The project will be a completely original title.
Takaki stated in March development started on the project about a year and a half ago. Marvelous is publishing the game. He noted that Hanaharu Naruko (Kamichu! manga, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, A.I.C.O. -Incarnation-) is handling the character designs, and Hiraku Kaneko (The Qwaser of Stigmata, Tsuredure Children, Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid) is directing the anime.
The new franchise will involve girl characters who will "remain clothed" (characters in Senran Kagura often have their clothes torn off in battle). The issue featured an image of a beautiful young woman on top of a river covered in cherry blossoms, and surrounded by cherry blossom trees.
Takaki stated in the same interview in March that he left Marvelous, and joined Cygames to work on console game projects. Takaki confirmed that he will still continue working on the game portion of the new multimedia project despite his departure from Marvelous.
