Spy×Family Joins Captain Velvet Meteor, Release Set for July 28th

Characters from the megahit manga unveiled during Nintendo Direct!

TOKYO, JAPAN - June 28th, 2022 - Shueisha Games, the new indie game publishing arm of Shonen Jump publisher Shueisha, along with developer Momo-Pi, are excited to announce the final Jump+ characters to join Captain Velvet Meteor: The Jump+ Dimensions, and its release date, July 28th, 2022!

In addition to the previously announced Shonen Jump+ manga characters, new heroes from SPY×FAMILY (by Tatsuya Endō), GHOST REAPER GIRL (by Akihisa Saaike), and Tis Time for "Torture," Princess (by Haruhara Robinson/Hirakei) will join Captain Velvet in his battle against the forces of evil! This completes the roster of eight Jump+ heroes, each with unique abilities and tactics.

Set in the world of a young boy with an overactive imagination, Captain Velvet Meteor: The Jump+ Dimensions follows Damien as he adjusts to his new life after moving in with his family in Japan. Struggling to cope with his new surroundings, Damien retreats into an imaginary world and battles against the forces of evil alongside heroes from his favorite Jump+ manga in strategic fights that include puzzle and stealth elements. Use signature attacks of your Jump+ companions through Power and Assist Combos to unleash massive damage on hoards of enemies. Or get strategic with abilities that inflict status effects or knock enemies aside to help control the battlefield.

Captain Velvet Meteor: The Jump+ Dimensions is developed by Momo-Pi, an indie game studio led by Rinaldo Wirz, a Swiss artist living in Japan. The culturally diverse studio garnered critical praise with their game, Persephone, and won the "Shueisha Shonen Jump+ Award" at the Google Play Indie Game Festival 2019. Captain Velvet Meteor is the result of Shueisha Games and Shonen Jump+'s first attempt to offer a small studio the full scope of the publisher's famous manga works.
