Factoring in how the Xbox One failed terribly in Japan, I'm not at all surprised that Microsoft won't appear at the TGS.

No surprise there. Has Xbone even sold 5 digit figures in Japan yet?

It's time to pull out Japan, they're just more in favor for the home-grown variety, Xbox is doing really well in Europe and the Americas.

No loss, seeing as TGS has been a wasteland for years now.

Not even wasting their time, makes sense. In my opinion, most of the games that come out on Xbone are culturally not what Japanese consumers are looking for, so it doesn't really surprise me that something like this happens.

Xbox one is losing in all 3 major market right. I guess they will just focus on one or two market. Xbone never had games target Asians anyway.

MS can't handle Japan (much less know the gaming scene there too well) and it's best they sit out and not embarrass themselves.

While they are modest to respectable in the US, still second to Sony; in Europe Sony had apparently 70 percent of the market which means MS probably has at best 15 when you consider Nintendo.

They were first to Sony in the long run, the PS3 didn't really catch up to the 360 sales till around the time the PS4 was announced.

And not s single tear was shed in Japan. At least Microsoft finally wised up and stopped wasting money - a few print ads will probably have a better effect and is more cost effective.
